With crisp fall breezes right around the corner, thoughts of pumpkin spice, fuzzy sweaters, and boots aren’t far behind! Many women choose to alter their hair color in the fall, and warming up your tresses with shades of caramel, copper, and auburn may be just the ticket to make you feel glamorous as the seasons change.
Starting clockwise from top left, here are the top color trends for Fall 2014:
- Bronde: the hybrid between- you guessed it – blonde and brown, is a softer, more gentle form of summer’s blonde hues. Accomplished with the balayage technique, this luxe way of highlighting and lowlighting will remind you of hot chocolate, caramel apples, and cashmere.
- Sombre’: We’re so glad that ombre’ isn’t going anywhere! Sombre’ is a toned-down, more subtle way of adding depth and contrast to the hair – ombre’s shy little sister. The grow-out is painless, and this technique conserves the health of your hair. Like the perfect touch of cream in your coffee, it adds color without overwhelming the senses.
- Chocolate Cherry: Deep auburn brown is a rich and dramatic. This is the perfect hue for those of you who may want to play around with red hair without committing to a fiery copper or scarlet. It also covers gray exceptionally well. Which is why it is my hair color of choice. (Shhh…)
- Rose Gold: We’ve seen it in jewelry and accessories over the past year, now it has made its way to our tresses! Soft strawberry blonde with a hint of blush is a great option if you are in the dark blonde to light red range currently. It is a chic and sophisticated without being too trendy.
